Driver Check-Up

Job Duties

• Assist all Drivers and Service Reps. daily with correct check-in procedure on loading dock.
• First point of contact for checking in route drivers upon return to warehouse, verifying all quantities returned and their condition
• Isolate and account for, by route number, any damaged or out-of-code product returned from route or; isolate any close-to-date product, by route/territory number, in the designated area of the warehouse for such product.
• Responsible for returned product being accounted for correctly and labeled correctly for repack, warehouse loading, close code etc.
• Responsible for all empty pallets and trash off loaded from delivery vehicles as well as making sure Service Reps. sanitize all equipment.
• Immediately clean floor of any debris, beer spills, oil, grease, water, etc., that may cause safety hazard or poor appearance
• Drive and operate lifting equipment including forklift and pallet jack as necessary.

Education and Experience

• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment preferred
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 21+ years of age preferred
• Previous experience operating a forklift preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Requires a strong attention to detail
• Ability to quickly learn, understand and apply knowledge of product codes and rotation policies
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Demonstrates an ability to work safely around moving vehicles/equipment and in varying weather conditions
• Must be able to work independently, exercising sound judgment and initiative.
• Must be able to think critically and utilize available resources to solve problems

Physical Demands and Requirements

• Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching and twisting for shifts lasting 8+ hours
• Regularly lifts items weighing up to 40 lbs. without assistance
• Occasionally lifts and/or moves items weighing 100 lbs. or more with or without assistance
• Must be able to operate warehouse equipment/machinery without assistance

Environmental Conditions and Temperament

• Typically works indoors in varying environments – office and warehouse
• Requires working in refrigerated areas of the warehouse
• May be exposed to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow and wind

Compensation, Benefits and Application Window

Compensation range: $23/hour plus OT

(Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon route, geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level)
